Vaikalnathar Temple is an ancient Shiva temple at Thiru Vaikal in Mayiladuthurai district. Lord Shiva is worshipped as Vaikalnathar, also known as Shenbaga Aranyeswarar, and Goddess Parvati as Vaikalambikai. The temple is a Devaram Paadal Petra Sthalam and is associated with Thirugnana Sambandar.

The temple is traditionally believed to be one of the Maadakovils built by the early Chola king Kochengannan. References to the temple are found in the Devaram and Tiruvachakam traditions. The temple stands on an elevated platform and has shrines for Vaikalnathar, Vaikalambikai, Vinayaka, Murugan, Vishnu and other deities.
